Wasn’t too shocked after last weeks evictions from the show and with F.Y.D. and Nicolo both out of the way now, this years X Factor is slowly whittling down to the acts that have good talent.
This week saw a lot of improvements with most of the acts and this is what I thought of each of them this week.
Storm – I’m sorry to say that I’m losing my interest in Storm very quickly now. I love the guy and love his rocker voice but his performances have been very average so far. I want him to get a slower song next week to show off his voice more, so I’m hoping he stays and gets the chance to.
Treyc – A definite improvement I thought compared to last week. The first half was still a bit bland and I was really hoping she would start belting out Purple Rain like Ruth Lorenzo did in a past years X Factor and then Treyc did and showed off her great voice. Good performance.
Paije – Not as good as last week I’m afraid and if it wasn’t Paije I’d even say that he would be at risk of going this week. However because it is Paije and he is a favourite with the public I think he will stay this week.
One Direction – An electrifying performance this week from the young boy band. I thought it was definitely an improvement on last week and letting Liam sing on his own in the verses proved to be a good decision.
Cher – Weird song choice and I still don’t think we have seen the best performance yet from Cher. She seems to concentrate too much on the rapping rather than singing and I’d like to hear her just sing a song instead of rap to hear her talent.
John – That was so much better than last week. I love performances on the X Factor where theres no backing vocals and a calm song so the act can properly show off their voice and thats what John had this week and now I know that he has got a great voice and he has proved me wrong and it’s only week 2!
Diva Fever – What the hell was that! If someone told me that on this years X Factor someone was going to perform Barbra Streisand I would of laughed at them but if I had to guess an act it would of had to be this years Jedward. Diva Fever have officially put me off this song now but I bet it will give Duck Sauce a boost in sales this week.
Rebecca – A good song and it was a good performance but I kind of wanted her to belt it out a bit more as she kind of just stood there and showed no real fight or emotion. Good enough for her to stay this week though.
Aiden – I don’t know if he is doing it on purpose or not but the way he performs makes me really uncomfortable watching him. The singing wasn’t great this week and he’s in a bit of trouble if he doesn’t get the teenage girls votes this week.
Wagner – He is just having the time of his life at the moment and I love him. He isn’t a good singer but is so funny to watch and part of me hopes a “Get Wagner To Win X Factor” Facebook group is made similar to the Rage Against The Machine last year so Wagner can win the X Factor 2010!! Wooooo!
Katie – So much better this week! That performance proves to me and I’m sure everyone else watching the show to why she is in the finals. A great performance that you could see she put her heart and soul into. Should keep her from going this week for sure.
Belle Amie – It’s better than last week but they are just a normal typical girl band really and I just don’t see them having any chance of winning the X Factor. I was surprised they survived last week and will be again this week.
Mary – Ok after two weeks of amazing performances she is now officially a contender in my books. I did doubt she would have a chance of winning but people like her and she is belting out a great vocal performance after great vocal performance at the moment. Can see her staying in the competition for a long time.
Matt – This guy can definitely sing! A beautiful voice which done Bruno Mar’s song justice this week. I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t make it to the final.
I.M.O.
If there is going to be a double eviction this week which I suspect there will be then to go this week will be Belle Amie and Diva Fever. Storm unfortunately is also at big risk this week and Aiden and Paije are not completely safe but I can’t see either being sent home.
